HARRISBURG-- Rep. Kristin Marcell (R-Bucks) today announced that Northampton Township and Upper Southampton Township have been awarded grants for infrastructure improvements through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) Local Share Account (LSA) program from state gaming revenue.
“This funding is dedicated to improving our communities, and in our case, the money will be used help with stormwater management and to improve pedestrian safety,” Marcell said. “I appreciate working together with Sen. Frank Farry to work on funding that will help to support infrastructure projects for our communities.”
“I’m pleased to have worked with Rep. Marcell to help secure funding for these important projects in Northampton Township and Upper Southampton Township,” Farry said. “The approved state grant funding for these upgrades will greatly benefit our communities for years to come.”
The funds are given to projects that improve the quality of life of citizens in the community. Eligible projects must be owned and maintained by an eligible applicant or a nonprofit organization.
Northampton Township was awarded $500,000 to use to construct pedestrian safety improvements along Route 332 (Newtown-Richboro Road). Upper Southampton Township was awarded $401,485 to improve stormwater management.
